CLOUDMAP PARTNERS and their roles in this project:
UCL-GE: Co-ordinator, Webmaster for CLOUDMAP project
including metadata of acquisitions, stereo cloud-top heights
and winds,validation using mm-radar and wide-angle imagery.
Contrail detection experiments.
DLR-IPE: Co-ordination of MOMS and MOS data acquisitions
and underflight campaigns. Shadow cloud-top heights. Contrail
drift by combined stereo A-band.
DLR-IPA: Automated contrail detection and contrail climatology from AVHRR.
DLR-IST: Automated cirrus and contrail detection using texture analysis based on stochastic processes and fuzzy logic.
FU-Berlin: Algorithms for cirrus cloud-top pressure extraction and cloud microphysical properties extraction (Oxygen A-Band) of MOS data.
ETH: Algorithms for stereo photogrammetric data reduction,
focussed on camera models of linear array sensor type
and whole sky images, stereo cloud height determinations.

This project is supported by theEuropean Commissionıs RTD programme on Environment and
Climate (contract no. ENV4CT97-0399, under the theme
Space techniques for environmental monitoring and research.
The aim of the theme is to stimulate applications of Earth observation
to the benefit of users, and, in so doing, to help create a robust European
EO sector competitive in world markets.
