Welcome to the SURF

The Solar UK Research Facility(SURF) has evolved from the Yohkoh Data Archive Centre (YDAC) as a result of the increasing use of multi-instrument datasets. Data products and analysis guides from TRACE and SOHO are now also available in addition to Yohkoh data from the YDAC, as well as an increasing amount of ground-based and geophysical data. The project is for the benefit of the UK solar physics community and is funded through a special grant from the UK Particle Physics and Astronomy Research Council (PPARC). The Centre is located at the Mullard Space Science Laboratory (MSSL; University College London), and operates as part of the MSSL Solar Group.
