calculated by several groups as a function of viewing angle, wavelength:
various levels
of sophistication
€From this the total polarised emission from any
surface element
can be calculated
€It is possible to iterate the map of emission points
to gradually converge to the right map for the observed polarisations (Stokes Imaging, Potter, Hakala)

a map of cyclotron emission
