Over the past few years we have been accumulating a complete set of Chandra X-ray imaging data for the 3CRR radio sources at z < 0.1. In this seminar I will present the radio and X-ray data and discuss the systematic properties of the radio sources as a population, pointing out some new characteristics that are revealed by adding the less well-known sources to the usual suspects such as Perseus A and M 87. I will also show how some infra-red data on the cores relates to the large-scale radio properties, using our Spitzer dataset.
