Chemodynamical Simulations of Galaxies Chiaki Kobayashi (University of Hertfordshire) The formation and evolutionary histories of galaxies are imprinted in the stellar populations, namely, in the elemental abundance ratios. I am simulating chemodynamical evolution of galaxies using my hydrodynamical code that includes star formation and chemical enrichment from core-collapse and Type Ia supernovae and AGB stars. We then succeeded in reproducing various observations such as the elemental abundance ratios in Galactic bulge, disk, and thick disk, radial gradients of ellipticals, and mass-metallicity relations of galaxies. I will also discuss some observations that are not reproduced with current simulations, and show some new results on nucleosynthesis of primordial stars and AGN feedback.
