The OM calibration team works to provide reliable image and spectral data quality and error estimates. Staff at Vilspa and MSSL are currently refining calibrations of the optical and ultraviolet filters and grisms as well as monitoring the longterm trends in the detector response. The team works closely with SAS developers to ensure that researchers get the most updated numbers, parameters, and calculations during OM data reduction.
The OM calibration and SAS development teams recently met at Vilspa in November 2004.
