• Wave-particle interactions in the inner magnetosphere using wave and particle data from the Combined Release and Radiation Effects Satellite.

• The role of whistler mode waves and electrostatic electron cyclotron harmonic waves in the production of the diffuse aurora.

• The role of whistler mode waves in the acceleration of electrons to relativistic energies during/following geomagnetic storms.
