KIMBERLEY   STEED

SOHO/LASCO observed this coronal mass ejection heading straight towards the Earth on 28th October 2003.

My Refereed Journal Publications

My Research Interests are
  • The processes that affect the structure of magnetic clouds as they propagate into interplanetary space
  • Understanding the links between magnetic clouds observed near Earth and their source regions on the Sun
  • The processes that trigger the eruption of coronal mass ejections

My BIG Question about Solar & Stellar Physics is
''How do coronal mass ejections change and evolve as they propagate into interplanetary space?''

A Solar Fact I Find Fascinating is
If a piece of the sun the size of a pinhead were to be placed on Earth, you could not safely stand within 90 miles of it!

One Fact About Me is
I love horse riding in the Surrey Hills around the lab.
