The Sun is not a gentle man! While it undergoes dynamic changes and instabilities, it will produce dramatic transient events such as flares, filament eruptions, and coronal mass ejections, which have a number of far-reaching effects on terrestrial enviroment, causing radiation hazard to astronauts, trigering geomagnetic storms, disrupting communications, and damaging power systems.

Generally, my study field involves the Sun-Earth Connection Science. By use of observational data from both spacecrafts and ground-based telescopes to understand the solar source of the near-Earth space weather.
