Taking an exposure

• turn on all the hardware in the appropriate order
• if VME crate doesn't boot, check the boot params
• logon to mssls7 or msslh8, login as egse
• start hkmon on the Sun
• rlogin msslx2
• <egse
• <startup_icu
• <load_icu (takes 1:13)
• tc_mode 1
• <load_dpu (takes 2:50)
• <expose_window (takes 5:38) or <exp
• set_dump_tm 2
• tc_dump_ram 0x400000, 40
  should see something near the start
• tc_dump_ram 7380, 40
  should see data
• <dump_two_windows (takes 25:00) or <dump_all
• close_packet_archive

Then on the Sun:

• % cd /data/egse
• % ./mem_depacket < dump_two_windows > image
• % idl
• IDL> .r x
• IDL> x
• then File - Read new file - Memory dump
  read in image
