The primary purpose of this project is to search the WISE survey data to identify QSOs and then find out whether and how these objects will be useful in studying ‘exotic’ or active galaxies. The report begins with a brief explanation about Active Galactic Nuclei and quasars and then details out about the identification markers of these extragalactic bodies. At first the WISE all-sky database is searched with SDSS DR7 quasar catalogue to look for counterparts. Then the spectral energy distributions of those counterparts were examined. Later sources from the ROSAT survey were examined and their classification process were described.
