XMM-Newton over the Earth How to get to MSSL

MSSL lies approximately 40 miles to the south-west of London, in the centre of the Guildford/Dorking/Horsham `triangle'. Heathrow Airport is about an hour's drive away and Gatwick Airport about 40 minutes. The nearest mainline train stations with fast connections to London are Guildford (35 mins to Waterloo) and Gatwick (30 mins to Victoria on the Gatwick Express). There are also mainline stations at Dorking and Horsham. For information about train times and connections, why not try the Railtrack travel information service?

Participants travelling from the airports to MSSL may find it easiest to rent a car, while a taxi ride is the best option from the nearest mainline train stations. For those travelling to MSSL by car, road maps of the surrounding area are available. If you need any advice about the best route to take, please contact the local organisers or take a look at the RAC route planner.
