EIS Master Study Database

Preparing the EIS Master Study Database for transfer to the MSSL server

The purpose of this section is to prepare the updated master database for transfer to the MSSL server.

Procedure

1. In an open xterm terminal window on the EGSE (msslqm) perform the following commands:
   • cd ↩
   • make transfer ↩

   The first command takes you back to the home directory.
   The second command compresses the database ready for transfer and generates a security file to ensure the transfer of the database is carried out correctly.

   The xterm should look similar to this:

   

   • The next stage of the operation takes place on the server.
