EIS Master Study Database

Testing and importing a new science study

A new study should be submitted via email as a folder consisting of 2 files:

• A .def file
  • The name of the .def file is the name of the new study with _1 appended. This file is generated by the 'eis_mk_study' program of the planning tool using the export study feature.
• A .txt description file
  • This file is the description of the study, also generated by the planning tool software.

Copy the files to a pen drive.

Procedure

• Test on flight spare using the pm (non-master) database.

• Import study into master database

• Prepare the database for transfer to the MSSL server.

• Copy the database to the MSSL server.
