Making a plan to run on the flight spare (pm)

This procedure describes the steps to make a plan after importing a study into the database. Multiple studies can be imported one after the after by repeating step 11 for each study.

Testing the studies can be done individually by repeating steps 13 through 21 for each study (and, as the ICU is already on, steps 22 and 23 should be omitted). Alternatively, the studies can be put on the same timeline and tested sequentially by inserting the first study on the timeline in step 14 and then repeating 13 and appending the study to the previous study in step 14.

Procedure

  1. Run the make plan program.
    In the xterm that is running sswidl type:

    3 windows will pop up. Select the main window (image in the next step).

  2. Use the 'Study' menu to select the new study to load into the plan:

  3. Select 'CPT' from the tools menu:

    The window should look similar to this:

    Press the 'Test CPT' button (highlighted in blue).

  5. After a successfull run of CPT the window should now look like this:

    Press the 'Run CPT' button (highlighted in red). This should be ok too and generate similar output in the window. This step will generate the plan which we can use to test the new study on the flight spare. Finally press the 'Quit' button (highlighted in ryellow) to close the window.

  6. Press the 'Quit' button and in the dialog window that pops up press 'OK'. PICTURE.
    Exit the mk_plan program by clicking the 'quit' buttons in the IDL windows.

  7. In the xterm exit sswidl.
    Type:
  8. In the xterm create a new version of the plan

    The dates and times will be different from what is displayed in the image.
