EIS Master Study Database

Running the flight spare (pm) EGSE software

This procedure describes the steps to import one new study into the test (pm) database. Multiple studies can be imported one after the after by repeating step 11 for each study.

Testing the studies can be done individually by repeating steps 13 through 21 for each study (and, as the ICU is already on, steps 22 and 23 should be omitted). Alternatively, the studies can be put on the same timeline and tested sequentially by inserting the first study on the timeline in step 14 and then repeating 13 and appending the study to the previous study in step 14.

Procedure

  1. In the commshell window enter (in the text box highlighted in red):

    ../images/egse/run_startup_1.png

This will take about 5 minutes to run.

  2. When startup has finished enter (in the text box highlighted in red):

    ../images/egse/run_cpt_plan_1.png

Note: The information in the window will be different from what is seen here.
There will be a very long delay at the end of the script before it puts the ICU into 'Auto'. At the start of the delay the ICU is dumping the obstable, as can be seen on the scsim window (circled in red):

    ../images/windows/scsim_dump_active.png

Wait until the scsim indicates that the memory dump has finished and the indicator circled in red shows 'INACTIVE'.

    ../images/windows/scsim_dump_inactive.png

Now the 'Cancel' button (highlighted in yellow above) can be clicked to cancel the delay and allow the ICU to run the script.

Make a note of the name of mission data files produced (md_data.nnnn).

If the plan ran ok then the next step is to import the study into the master database.
