Testing the MHC default heaters studies (default_heaters) on the flight spare

Procedure

1. Start sswidl. In the xterm type:
   • sswidl ↩

     

2. Select the testing (pm) database. In the xterm type:
   • @pm ↩

     

3. Start the planning software. In the xterm type:
   • @p ↩
   
   These three windows open:
   • The main window

     

   • The timeline window

     

   • The summary window

     

4. In the main window select clear timeline from the 'Plan' menu:

   • 

   • 
     If there are no timeline entries then this alert dialog window will appear:

     

     Close the alert by pressing the Ok button.
   • 
     If there are entries on the timeline this alert dialog window appears:

     

     Clear the timeline entries by pressing the Yes button.

     This also closes the dialog window.

5. In the main window add the default heater studies to the timeline:
   • Load the first study (default_htrs1_6) by selecting the Load and Insert/Append study from database... menu item.

     

   • In the resulting window search for 'htrs_1' in the Acronym text box, circled in red.

     

     This will make the study appear in the big text field at the top of the window.

   • Select the study by clicking on the line:

     

   • Insert the study to the timeline:

     

   • Follow these steps for the htrs7_12 study but append to the htrs1_6 study already on the timeline using the append button (highlighted in red):

     

   Close the window by pressing the Dismiss button (highlighted in yellow).

6. Run CPT which creates the plan:
7. Exit the planning tool
8. Exit sswidl. In the xterm type:
   • exit ↩

9. Translate the plan generated by the planning tool into the format readable by the EGSE. In the xterm type:
   • mkplan ↩
