EIS Master Study Database

Updating the master database with the MHC heaters studies (default_heaters)

This procedure updates the IDL database with the new heater setting meta information. This is the way that engineering studies are updated in the database.

Procedure

In the open xterm:

Run Solarsoft. Type:
- sswidl ↩

Bring up the window which allows the study parameters to be changed. Type:
- eis_eng_obj ↩

This window will pop up:

Fill in the details for each entry item:
- Select 'Update Exisiting Entry' radio button

- Double click inside the 'Study ID (existing):' text input box and enter 143 to load up the default_htrs1_6 study. This action will update all of the other widgets.

- Update the Title input field. Change (post-eclipse) to (pre-eclipse) (or vice versa) and update the date on which this study should be run - not all the text is visible so scroll using the keyboard left/right keys to be able to update all of the required text. Press the enter key to register the text.

- To ensure all the values are written out click in each input text field and press enter. Select Khalid from the author's pull down menu.
- Press the Save button
- Repeat for study id 144

Press the Quit button
Exit Solarsoft. In the xterm type:
- exit ↩
