The sensor energy range coverage, 88m28-60m00, is explained as follows:
HEEA is covering the high end of the energy range (88 down to 28) and LEEA is
covering the low end (60 down to 00).
Both sensors are in Medium Angular Resolution (MAR) mode, signified here by
the 'm'. Other possibilities are Low Angular Resolution ('l') and High Angular
Resolution ('h').
See energy
levels table (approximate) to intepret energy range
The DPU is generating the datasets 'cplxt', these and all other possible datasets
are described by the following table:
c
CORE
includes moments
p
PAD
pitch angle data
l
LER
reduced resolution low energy data
r
3DR
reduced /8 resolution 3D data from LEEA and HEEA
s
3DR
reduced /8 resolution 3D data from LEEA only
t
3DR
reduced /8 resolution 3D data from HEEA only
x
3DX1
reduced by variable degree resolution 3D data, one sensor only
y
3DX2
second 3DX in same spin
f
3DF
full resolution 3D data from HEEA and LEEA
The 3DX data selection, here 'apl', is described as follows:
a all basic segments (else t for 2 basic segments; cartwheel slice)
p adds together pairs of anodes (else e for adding pairs of energy
bins or n for no summing)
l data is from LEEA (else h if data is from HEEA)
'60w08' is 3DX 'windowing' information: it means that the 3DX data contains only
a subset of the energy range measured by LEEA; in this case energies between level
08 and level 00 are discarded
NOTE about commanding from March 2008 onwards: when
PAD_PATCH_1 has been uplinked, all PAD zones will be filled with data from the
LEEA sensor only. This ends when the patch is killed.
