Welcome to the web pages of the CCD Group, part of Detector Physics at MSSL.

	CCDs mounted on the Focal Plane Assembly (FPA) part of the Solar-B EIS (Extreme ultraviolet Imaging Spectrometer) instrument.
Eddington FPA CCDs ready to be tested at MSSL.

Charge Coupled Devices (CCDs) are extensively used in astronomical detectors and the MSSL CCD Group has a broad programme of CCD camera development and research for both current and future space projects.
