Double Star : PEACE

The PEACE Experiment Home Page

A Plasma Electron And Current Experiment instrument can measure the three dimensional velocity distribution of electrons in a space plasma, for an energy range from a few electronvolts to about 30 kiloelectronvolts. MSSL is the PI Institution for the PEACE instruments. There is a Double Star PEACE instrument on each of the two Double Star spacecraft, planned for launch in December 2003 and June 2004. The Double Star PEACE instrument has a single sensor, unlike the two sensor Cluster PEACE instruments.
