Chris Owen, Andrew Fazakerley, Sandrine Grimald, Colin Forsyth, Natasha Doss and Segheen Beyene attended the 17th Cluster Workshop, hosted by the University of Uppsala. Andrew, Sandrine and Segheen presented talks, and Colin and Sandrine also presented posters. For details of the presentations, see the workshop website.

A new section has been added to the Space Plasma Group website - Science Nuggets. This section gives a brief overview of recent papers by scientists in the group and is aimed at scientists and the public alike.

New calibrations for the Cluster PEACE data have been released. The latest calibrations are now v5.2. These calibrations improve the velocities determined in the solar wind and have extended the interval for which the data is valid by more than a year for 6 out of the 8 sensors. Kimberley Steed was selected to take part in the SET for Britain event at the Houses of Parliament. She presented her work on space weather determining the source region of a coronal mass ejection. Kimberley also discussed her experience in the weekly UCL news podcast.

Congratulations to Andrew Walsh, who won the Alan Johnstone Award for outstanding scientific achievement by a research student. Over the past three years Andrew has had 11 publications and has helped to organise the 5th Cluster Tail Workshop.
