New proposal

The procedure to follow here depends on whether one has already stored the personal information in memory or not. A first time user who has not stored his/her personal details in memory must first choose a password (and make sure to remember it...) and then fill in personal details (cf. § 4.3). Once at least all fields marked (with an asterisk) as mandatory are filled in, XRPS will accept the input when clicking on the ``commit'' button. This will enter the information in the intermediate memory described in § 4.4.

In case an entry in a ``mandatory'' field is missing, an error message will be returned, specifying which field does not contain a proper entry. In such a case, change it accordingly and try again to commit the information to memory. Please make sure that all contact information is correct and up-to-date. Here, as elsewhere, additional (non-mandatory) information is always welcome, because it can help the XMM SOC, e.g., in getting in touch with an observer.

When coming back at a later time, when the personal information has already been stored in memory, a user just needs to type in User ID and password to reenter XRPS and reuse the personal details entered previously.
