The spectrum of curvature radiation has the same form as that of synchrotron radiation, varying with the cube root of frequency at low frequencies and falling exponentially above the peak frequency.
For likely values of the parameters, it turns out that the intensity produced by an electron by curvature radiation is much smaller than that radiated by the cyclotron or synchrotron processes. If radio emission is produced in this way, then coherence must play a big part and could solve the problem of energetics. Coherence may indicate that bunches of particles are travelling and emitting together.
