I am currently a professor of solar physics at UCL Mullard Space Science Laboratory. My main areas of research are solar flares, coronal mass ejections, and solar wind formation. My publication list is shown which will give you more details of my research areas. I am UK PI for the EIS instrument on the Japan/US/UK space mission, Hinode which was launched successfully on 22nd September 2006. I am co-PI on the EUV Imager (EUI) onboard the ESA Solar Orbiter mission.
